Indalex Tradesman Work Platform
The Indalex Tradesman work platform is a compact, lightweight aluminium work deck designed for tasks that require a small elevated work surface rather than a full platform ladder. It is commonly used as a kneeling platform, a step-over bridge between two surfaces, or a low standing deck for tasks under benches and in tight spaces. Aluminium Platforms stocks four Indalex Tradesman work platform configurations with aluminium and fibreglass options.
Indalex Tradesman Models and Specifications
The range includes a 0.3 m x 0.7 m aluminium unit at 120 kg providing a low standing platform for work at knee or thigh height. A 0.6 m x 0.6 m aluminium model at 120 kg is suited to kneeling work or low-level standing access. A 0.45 m x 1.1 m aluminium model at 150 kg offers a larger platform footprint for tasks requiring more standing space. A 0.6 m x 0.6 m fibreglass model at 120 kg provides the same platform area with a non-conductive surface for use in electrical environments.
Applications
Plumbers and hydraulic services contractors use these platforms for working under sinks and in crawl spaces. Electricians use the fibreglass model as a non-conductive kneeling surface when working on floor-level switchboards and distribution boards. Cabinet makers and joiners use low work platforms to reduce fatigue on long workbench tasks. The compact size means these platforms store flat on a shelf or in a van racking system without taking up significant space.
Difference from Platform Step Ladders
The Indalex Tradesman work platform is a floor-level or low-elevation work deck, not a step-access platform. It has no steps or ladder section. The working surface sits directly on the floor or on short legs to raise it to a specific height. It is not designed to provide elevated access above approximately 0.6 m.
Delivery
All four Indalex Tradesman work platform models are in stock for purchase online with Australia-wide delivery. These are frequently purchased as ancillary tools alongside ladders and work platforms for facilities maintenance teams.
