The ladder section folds into a timber-framed hatch panel that sits flush with the ceiling when closed. The aluminium ladder construction is lightweight compared with timber equivalents, which reduces the counterbalance spring load and makes the pull-down and fold-up operation easier.
Installation Notes
Attic ladder installation requires cutting a ceiling opening, fitting the hatch frame to the ceiling joists, and adjusting the ladder length to suit the actual floor-to-ceiling measurement. The 2.34 m to 3.1 m adjustment range accommodates cutting errors and variation in finished ceiling height. The hatch panel is pre-fitted to the frame and the ladder folds in two or three sections depending on the ceiling height setting.
Load Rating and Domestic Classification
