Step ladder types
Single-sided step ladders provide a standard climbing face with a rear support brace. Double-sided models give access from both sides, which suits use in the middle of a room or on a production floor. Safety step ladders have a full handrail on both sides and suit users who need a more stable ascent and descent. Platform step ladders replace the top rung with a flat deck and guardrail, allowing both-hands work at the top.
Load ratings
Domestic-rated models carry 120KG. Trade-rated models carry 120 to 150KG. Industrial models carry up to 180KG. Load ratings are marked on the ladder and apply to the combined weight of the user plus tools and materials.
