Star P Heavy Duty Work Platforms
The Star P series heavy duty work platforms are a purpose-built elevated working environment, not a ladder. Each unit replaces the need for a ladder entirely at its working height by providing a staircase entry, a large perimeter-guardrailed deck, and a self-contained structure that does not require leaning against or securing to a wall. Aluminium Platforms is a direct distributor of the full Star P range, covering 2 steps to 12 steps.
Star P Series
The Star P range scales by step count from P2 through P3, P4, P5, P6, P7, P8, P9, P10, and P12. The step count determines the deck height. A P4 unit gives a deck height of approximately 0.8 m to 1.0 m, while a P12 reaches approximately 2.4 m deck height for tall-bay facility maintenance. The Star P1400 variant has a different platform footprint than the stepped P series and suits narrow-aisle or specific plant access configurations.
Construction
All Star P units use an aluminium structural frame with a staircase approach angle rather than vertical rung climbing. The deck is non-slip expanded aluminium and the perimeter guardrail uses full-height posts, mid-rail, and kickboard to meet fall prevention requirements for elevated work positions. The frame is welded aluminium, not bolted, for rigidity under load. Units ship flat-packed and assemble without tools in under 30 minutes.
Who Uses the Star P Series
Warehousing, food manufacturing, automotive assembly, and building services maintenance are the primary markets. The staircase entry reduces fatigue in high-frequency use compared with a vertical ladder climb, and the large deck allows the worker to turn around, set tools down, and work in multiple directions without repositioning. The full perimeter guardrail meets height safety requirements without additional fall protection equipment.
Supply and Certification
Star P series platforms are manufactured to Australian Standards for elevated work platforms. Each unit ships with certification documentation. Delivery is available across Australia with lead times on current stock levels available on request for large orders.
