Platform Step Ladders
Aluminium and Fibreglass Platform Step Ladders
A platform step ladder differs from a standard A-frame in one way that matters: instead of a narrow rung at the top, it has a flat standing platform. That platform changes how you can work at height. You can stand with both feet flat, turn at the waist, use both hands, and stay in position for longer without gripping for balance. For tasks that take more than a minute at height, it makes a practical difference.
The Staruiju range here covers 3 steps to 7 steps in both aluminium and fibreglass frame options. Aluminium models (YQZDT series) suit general trade, retail, and commercial use. Fibreglass models (FSZDT series) are the standard choice for electrical work and any environment near live power. The fibreglass frame provides insulation that an aluminium frame cannot.
Platform heights by step count
- 3 steps: approximately 0.8M to 0.87M platform height
- 4 steps: approximately 1.1M to 1.16M
- 5 steps: approximately 1.4M to 1.45M
- 6 steps: approximately 1.74M (fibreglass)
- 7 steps: approximately 1.9M to 2.03M
This covers the most common height range for fitting, inspection, plastering, tiling, installation, and finishing work.
Common uses by trade
Electricians and HVAC technicians use fibreglass platform step ladders as standard kit. Switchboard work, wiring in roof spaces, and air conditioning installation all benefit from the insulated frame. General builders and fit-out contractors carry the aluminium versions for painting, plastering, and head-height installation work. Retail and warehouse environments use them for shelf stocking and display work where frequent repositioning is needed but a full work platform is not warranted.
Aluminium Platforms is an authorised distributor for Staruiju in Australia. All models ship Australia-wide. For trade account pricing or bulk orders, call 1300 261 700.
