Acceptance & Start of Collection
By visiting or using our Site and Services (including browsing pages, using search/chat tools, submitting forms, adding items to cart or completing checkout), you acknowledge and consent to this Privacy & Cookie Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Collection of certain technical data may begin when a page loads (for example, IP address, device/browser details, essential session cookies, logs and basic analytics identifiers). You can manage or block cookies at any time via your browser settings. Some cookies are essential for core functions (e.g., cart and checkout) and the Site may not work correctly without them. If you do not agree, please adjust your settings or discontinue use of the Site.
Telephone channel: When you call our published phone numbers, basic telephony metadata (e.g., caller ID where available, call time/duration) is collected on connection. Where we notify you, calls may be recorded for training/quality or dispute resolution. Phone orders and enquiries are handled under this Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

We handle personal information in line with applicable Australian privacy requirements. Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

5. When we share information
We may share personal information with trusted partners to deliver the Services, subject to appropriate safeguards:
- Payment service providers/merchant acquirers (card processing, fraud screening, refunds).
- Manufacturers & suppliers (including related brands) for fulfilment, parts and warranty handling.
- Freight & logistics partners (carriers, depots, delivery booking platforms).
- IT & cloud vendors (hosting, e-commerce platform, email, document storage, CRM, helpdesk, analytics).
- Professional advisers & insurers (accounting, legal, insurance claims/assessors).
- Marketing tools (within settings we control and subject to your choices).
- Regulators or law enforcement when required or permitted by law.
We do not sell your personal information. Processors may access information only to perform contracted services for us and must protect it appropriately.
6. International handling & storage architecture
Our secure cloud and e-commerce infrastructure may process/store information in or from Australia and other regions (e.g., U.S., EU, APAC). For resilience and backups, data may be replicated across multiple facilities or regions by our providers and consolidated in data warehouses/data lakes under our control. We take steps designed to protect information when handled overseas, such as contractual and technical safeguards, and only use reputable providers.
7. How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy (for example, order history, tax, warranty and insurance) and to meet legal/record-keeping requirements. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including access controls, encryption in transit (and at rest where supported), least-privilege access, logging and vendor due diligence. No method is 100% secure; we monitor and improve our measures over time.
Data breach notifications: If we become aware of a data incident that is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess promptly and notify affected individuals and the Australian privacy regulator where required.
9. Cookies, SDKs, analytics & advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies (including SDKs) to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure performance and support marketing. Cookies are stored on your device and typically do not directly identify you.
9.1 Categories we use
- Essential: cart, checkout, session management, security.
- Functional: preferences (e.g., saved address details), forms, chat tools.
- Analytics: aggregated usage metrics, error diagnostics, site improvement.
- Marketing: ad measurement and re-marketing (e.g., via major ad platforms).
9.2 Your choices
- Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies via your browser. Essential cookies are necessary for core functions and the Site may not work correctly without them.
- Ad preferences: you may opt out of certain interest-based advertising via platform settings and common industry tools.
9.3 Linking & matching
When you sign in or submit a form, we may link prior cookie-based activity (e.g., visits, carts) to your profile. Where permitted, we may use hashed identifiers to help detect duplicate accounts, maintain suppression lists, measure campaigns, build look-alike audiences or reach you with marketing you have agreed to receive. You can opt out of marketing at any time (Section 12).
10. Marketing communications & preferences
We send marketing only if you consent (or where otherwise permissible). We may segment audiences (e.g., by industry or product interest) to keep messages relevant. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the message or by contacting us. Transactional and service calls/emails (e.g., order updates, delivery coordination) are not marketing and will continue as needed to provide the Services. You may ask to be added to our internal do-not-call list for marketing calls.
11. Children
Our Site and Services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to delete it and, where applicable, close the related account/record. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us information may contact us using Section 16.
12. Automated decisions & profiling
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. We may use limited profiling and inferences (e.g., likely applications/industry) to improve support, logistics planning and relevant product suggestions, and for measurement/reporting. You can opt out of marketing profiling at any time.
13. Your rights
Subject to verification and limited exceptions, you can:
- Access personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate information;
- Request deletion or restriction where we no longer need information (we may retain where required for legal, tax, insurance or warranty obligations);
- Object/opt out of direct marketing at any time;
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
We will respond within a reasonable time and explain if we cannot action a request in full (for example, where legal retention applies). To exercise your rights, see Section 16.
14. Payment processing & statements
Card payments are processed by one or more payment service providers engaged by us. On your card/bank statement you will generally see “Aluminium Platforms” or “Aluminium Platform”; depending on provider/routing, you may see a descriptor referencing our company or trading names (e.g., “AKYUZ NOMINEES PTY LTD”) and/or the provider’s descriptor. We may change providers without prior notice; descriptors may therefore vary. Regardless of the descriptor, the seller of record remains Akyuz Nominees Pty Ltd. For EFT, accounts may use trading names operated under the same ABN. For phone payments, our staff are instructed not to record full card numbers or CVV in call notes, emails or recordings; where feasible we will use secure payment methods that avoid capturing card data in calls. We do not store full card numbers or CVV on our systems.
15. Third-party content & links
The Site may reference specifications, manuals or images provided by independent vendors and may include links to external sites. We do not control third-party content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information. If vendor materials are inaccurate or outdated, please contact us so we can investigate and correct where appropriate.
