Shipping & Delivery Policy

Effective Date: 30/10/2025

This Shipping & Delivery Policy works together with our Terms & Conditions. If there is any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions prevail for commercial matters. Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

1. Service Territory

  • We ordinarily ship within Australia only.
  • International orders are not accepted unless expressly agreed by us in writing in advance.

2. Delivery Addresses

  • Delivery is to verified business/commercial addresses during business hours.
  • We do not deliver to PO Boxes or residential addresses unless we expressly agree in writing.
  • If a residential address is provided without our approval, we may cancel the order or offer alternatives (e.g., depot pickup) or a revised service/fee.
  • Safe access must be available for the vehicle type (height/length clearance, load/unload space).

3. Dispatch & Lead Times

  • In-stock items: Usually dispatch within standard processing times after payment confirmation.
  • Custom/made-to-order: Lead times are advised on the product page, quote or order confirmation.
  • All timeframes are indicative. If we cannot supply within the quoted or a reasonable timeframe, we will contact you to arrange a refund, revised timing, or another suitable option.

4. What Your Shipping Fee Includes

The shipping line shown at checkout generally covers:

  • Carrier freight (courier, road freight or specialised logistics); and
  • Operational/handling costs required to arrange delivery (e.g., packing, staging, strapping/palletising, documentation and coordination).

We display these amounts upfront as a single shipping charge on your order.

5. Estimated Charge Collected Upfront

  • The shipping amount at checkout is a good-faith estimate based on weight/volume, destination and service level.
  • For bulky, custom or remote/limited-access deliveries, the final carrier quote may differ. If there is a material difference:
    • We will contact you to (a) approve the revised amount, (b) choose an alternative (e.g., depot pickup/alternative service), or (c) cancel for a refund.
    • We will not charge any additional shipping amount without your express approval.
  • Minor differences may be adjusted or absorbed in accordance with this Policy.

6. Surcharges & Payment Costs

  • Our published prices include our average cost of accepting cards and supported payment methods. We do not add a separate card surcharge at checkout.
  • If you request a payment method outside our standard offering that has exceptional processing costs, any fee will be clearly disclosed in advance, kept to our reasonable cost of acceptance, and charged only with your consent.
  • You will always receive a tax invoice showing our ABN. The invoice may also display a trading name used by Akyuz Nominees Pty Ltd under the same ABN; the seller of record remains Akyuz Nominees Pty Ltd. For EFT, the payee name may be a trading name operated under the same ABN (verification available on request).

7. Receiving & Access Requirements

  • Ensure someone is available to receive and sign for delivery during business hours.
  • Advise us in advance if you require tail-lift, hand-unload, Hi-ab, two-person delivery, or a specific time-slot (these services may affect freight cost and must be pre-approved).
  • Where re-delivery, waiting time, futile delivery or access-related charges apply, we will seek your approval before incurring additional costs wherever practical.

8. Tracking & Delivery Updates

  • We provide tracking details where available.
  • For oversized, custom or multi-leg freight managed by logistics partners—or where goods are shipped directly from approved supplier warehouses—tracking may be limited or provided via the supplier/carrier. Our team will coordinate updates by phone or email as needed.

9. Pickup / Click & Collect

  • Pickup is by prior arrangement from our Melbourne warehouse or an authorised depot.
  • Bring photo ID and your order/invoice. Please confirm vehicle and load requirements in advance.

10. Shipment Options & Split Consignments

  • Supplier-initiated split shipments (to improve lead times): We may dispatch available items first and the balance later at no extra shipping charge unless otherwise agreed.
  • Customer-selected multiple shipments/addresses: If our checkout offers options to ship items in more than one consignment, to multiple delivery addresses, or via different services (e.g., standard + express), selecting these options may increase or decrease the total shipping cost. Any change is shown at checkout and your selection constitutes approval of the displayed charge.
  • Post-checkout requests: If you ask us after placing your order to split consignments, stage dispatches, add an extra address, or change service levels, we will quote any additional or reduced freight and proceed only with your approval. Carrier rebooking or admin fees may apply.

10A. Supplier Fulfilment (Drop-Shipping)

  • Some orders are dispatched directly by approved suppliers (e.g., branded partner warehouses). In all cases, the seller of record remains Akyuz Nominees Pty Ltd. Carrier terms, tracking format and pickup options may vary by supplier; we will coordinate communications and assist with enquiries.

11. Address Changes & Delivery Instructions

  • Before dispatch: We will update delivery details where possible.
  • After dispatch: Rerouting or special instructions may not be possible and can attract carrier fees. We will outline options and seek your approval before proceeding.

12. Loss, Damage & Shortage

  • Please inspect goods on arrival. Note any visible damage/shortage on the carrier’s paperwork and take photos.
  • Notify us promptly (ideally within 2 business days) with your order number, photos and details so we can assist.
  • Where an item is faulty or materially misdescribed, we will offer an appropriate remedy (repair, replacement or refund). Reasonable return/transport costs will be reimbursed where applicable. Your non-excludable rights are not affected.

13. Transit Insurance

  • Shipments may move under carrier terms that include limited standard liability. Where goods are shipped directly by approved suppliers, applicable carrier terms may vary.
  • If you require additional transit insurance, please tell us before dispatch so we can request options and confirm cover in writing where available. If no additional insurance is arranged, any recovery will be subject to the relevant carrier’s standard terms and your rights under Australian law.

14. Remote, Oversize & Special Access

  • Remote/rural areas, oversize loads, site inductions, booked-in time slots, mine or airport deliveries and similar requirements may involve special charges and lead times.
  • We will confirm any such requirements and obtain your approval before arranging services.

15. Title, Risk & Responsibility

  • Title: Passes on receipt of full cleared payment (see Terms & Conditions).
  • Risk (B2B): Where we arrange shipment for business customers, risk passes when goods are handed to our carrier (or your nominated carrier) at dispatch. If you ask us to hold goods after they are ready, risk passes when we notify you they are ready and allocated to your order.
  • Risk (B2C): For consumer purchases, risk generally passes when you (or your nominee) take physical possession at the delivery address. Exceptions: (i) you arrange your own carrier; (ii) authority to leave/unattended delivery; (iii) depot pickup or click & collect—risk passes on collection.
  • You are responsible for safe unloading, handling and on-site storage after risk passes.

16. Cancellations After Dispatch

  • If you cancel after dispatch, freight and return charges may apply. We will outline costs in advance for your approval.

17. Priority / Inconsistency

If this Policy conflicts with our Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions prevail for commercial terms. This Policy does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
