Access platform ladders solve a problem that standard step ladders cannot. When a job requires both hands at height, a single rung at the top of a standard ladder is not enough. The Indalex Pro Series replaces that rung with a guarded standing platform, giving workers a stable base with guardrails on three sides and a hinged gate or chain at the front. The result is a ladder that doubles as a working position.
The Pro Series covers platform heights from 0.6 metres to 3.6 metres. The shorter models (0.6M to 2.1M) carry a 180KG safe working load. From 2.4M upwards, the rating is 150KG. Both exceed the typical requirement for a single worker with tools. Guardrails, mid-rails, and kickplates are standard across the range.
Where these ladders are used
Warehouses and distribution centres are the primary users. Workers picking from high shelving or loading overhead conveyor systems need a stable position they can step in and out of quickly. Manufacturing facilities use them at fixed service points. Retail fit-out and maintenance teams carry them on trolleys for repositioning between tasks.
Optional wheel kits are available for smooth floor environments. Stabiliser outriggers suit uneven or soft surfaces. These accessories are listed on individual product pages.

All Indalex Pro Series platform ladders are manufactured to Australian Standards for portable metal ladders. Load ratings and standard markings are on the frame. This supports site safety records, induction documentation, and SWMS requirements.
