Ladders and Work Platforms for Construction Sites
Construction sites have specific ladder requirements. Ladders are used across a range of tasks from foundation work to roof framing, and the same ladder may be used by multiple workers across a shift. Load ratings, frame durability, and non-slip rungs matter more on site than in a domestic setting.
The range here covers aluminium extension ladders, multi-purpose ladders, platform step ladders, and industrial-rated step ladders suited to builder and construction use. All models carry load ratings of 120KG or above, with industrial-rated models available at 150KG and 180KG for heavier applications.
Common uses on site
Extension ladders are the most common ladder type on a construction site, used for roof access, frame inspection, and external work at heights of 3 to 8 metres. Multi-purpose ladders suit fit-out contractors who need A-frame and extension configurations from one unit. Platform step ladders are used for finishing trades at head height: plasterboard fixing, ceiling work, and installation tasks where both hands are needed.
Builder ladders should be inspected before each use for bent rungs, damaged feet, or cracked frame sections. Load ratings apply to the combined weight of the user plus tools and materials carried up the ladder.
