What is the difference between a work platform and a ladder?

A work platform provides a standing deck at height with a full perimeter guardrail, leaving both hands free for the task. For extended work at height, work platforms are safer and more productive than ladders.

What working height do I need?

The working height of a platform is measured from the floor to the top of the guardrail when standing on the deck. Platform step count determines the deck height. As a guide: 4-step platforms provide approximately 1.4m deck height; 7-step approximately 2.4m; 10-step approximately 3.4m; 12-step approximately 4.0m. Can I use a work platform outdoors?
