Bailey Aluminium Order Picking Platforms
The Bailey Aluminium Order Picking Platform MK3 at 150 kg covers 2-step, 3-step, and larger configurations. These are wheeled platforms with a guardrailed deck designed for warehouse shelf picking at heights above the safe reach of a step ladder. The MK3 uses a large stable base with outrigger wheels that prevent tipping under offset loads, which is the common condition when a picker is reaching to one side for a product.
Star Order Picker Range
The Star SOP series covers SOP3, SOP4, SOP5, and larger models up to for the heavy-duty end of the range. Star order pickers are aluminium-framed wheeled platforms designed for high-bay warehouse environments. The staircase access design on larger models reduces the fatigue associated with climbing a vertical ladder multiple times per shift in high-volume picking operations.
Height Safety at the Picking Platform
Working at height on an order picking platform is subject to the same fall risk as any other elevated position. Platforms above 1.5 m deck height require perimeter guardrails under Australian workplace health and safety requirements. All Star and Bailey platforms in this category include guardrail systems that meet this requirement without requiring additional fall arrest equipment at the platform.
